Roamyard puts digital nomads into small groups for dinners and other events. It's run by Aseem Thakar from Melbourne, Australia. By creating an account you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.
Who can join
You need to be 18 or older, and the details on your profile need to be true. One account per person.
How to treat people
Everyone at the table is a stranger who took a chance on showing up. So there's zero tolerance for:
- harassment, threats, hate speech or bullying, in person or in the chat;
- unwanted sexual attention or explicit content;
- selling, recruiting or spamming people you meet;
- sharing someone else's photos or details without asking;
- anything illegal.
You can report or block anyone from their profile or the group chat. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove the people who post it.
Your content
You own the messages and photos you post. You let us show them to the people at your table and use recap photos inside the app. We don't use them for advertising. Only post photos of people who are happy to be in them.
Events
- Events are free for now. If that changes, we'll tell you before you book anything that costs money.
- You pay for your own food and drinks at the venue.
- If you can't make it, cancel in the app as early as you can. Your seat goes to someone on standby.
- Venues are independent businesses. We pick them carefully but we don't run them.
Staying safe
We match groups and pick public venues, but we can't vouch for every person you meet. Use normal judgement, drink responsibly, and get yourself home the way you'd want a friend to.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, or that other members report and we find the report is fair.
The legal part
Roamyard is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for what happens between members at or after events, or for losses from using the app. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
